OPERATION “Innocent Deity”

SITUATION
- The offensive is going perfectly. We have an opportunity to push the advantage.
- Battlegroup Red’s HQ has been cut off and trapped in Dlidlh while the remainder of the troops are stuck in the main northern front.
- While Battlegroup Blue remains the most sturdy of our enemies, we’ve managed to push them back to a defensive line and trap one of their battalions in Dahndass.
- A surprise push from our new Lelander allies made progress threatening the heart of Deepwood, but Xarta’s has called forth the legions of Molboroth from the Dreamwaste to counter them. It is a desperate ploy that may well incur the wrath of Lealand’s saints. We are sending “emissaries” to speak to their senior members about modifying their knightly code to include defending other duchies against the undead menace.
- General Chimalli of Battlegroup Black was killed in the Vassion air raid last week and the Deepwood has had difficulty replacing him as much of his officer corps perished with him.
- In the meantime, General Einar of Battlegroup Green has stepped in and is coordinating both battlegroups himself.
OBJECTIVE
- Fight your way through the command center north of Vermange and eliminate General Einar.
COMPLICATIONS
- Battlegroup Green’s HQ is located north west of Vermange, within a still-forested area of the Deepwood. The monsters there are not as dangerous as the Capital Basin, which is a double edged sword since they pose less of a threat by themselves but are also deployed in battle by Deepwood forces.
- General Einar has three elite personal bodyguards in addition to his usual protection detail. Though unprofessional, one of my assistants accurately described them as “a loathsome pack of freaks”. Their guard cycle can be exploited to eliminate one of them while they sleep, and deal with the second quickly before the third can arrive.
- Furthermore, General Einar is a strange fellow. He’s a foreigner from the far east and we know little of his personal capabilities.
- Ignore all rumors that General Einar is a cannibal, they have been proven to be misinformation perpetuated by his troops in order to frighten our forces.

- Long eyebrows.
- Strelli is a hotbed of fey activity. Perhaps they enjoy harassing the overly-serious work-addicted populace of the Grand Duchy. The fey of southern Strelli (also known as Dakania) are particularly strange, having been banished from the Feywild long eons ago.
- Haixiang is a very powerful sorcerer and has a knack for artifice as well. Most notably, he can polymorph, fly, and cast immense fire evocations.
- In melee, he always targets the opponent's belly.
