Devi's Notes on Xarta

She perplexes me. At the surface level you could consider her a comically evil villain. All through out her life she has done atrocities. It started with watching her sister drown in a well and then dropping an essential tea pot into the ocean at a young age. She would continue to do just terrible things through out her life.

Why?

Why does she do it?

I propose that it is not out of pure malice. Though, as Polaris I have made a joke about her being a vampire of the fun variety. Many times we've had to conclude that she gets her rocks off on watching people die because of the choices she's made. But there has to be a reason to her madness.

I feel at this point she could kill off Polaris' entire family and I would still question it. It could not be "to get revenge against Polaris" because that is too short term to any thing she has ever done. Its too beneath her.
